Revolutionary Russia

Rescued from the wiki:

Petrograd History
It is 1917, and trouble is brewing in the Russian capital. Revolutionaries following the teachings of Karl Marx are said to be plotting the overthrow of the Tsar, whose unpopularity has skyrocketed with his inept handling of the war in Germany. Only time, and perhaps the influence of a brave adventurer or two, can determine the final outcome of these events.

But Petrograd's reputation as a city of artists and beauty is not undeserved, and there is much to discover in the cold north aside from revolution. Petrograd University is among the leading academies in Europe, and the people of the city, though times are hard in Russia, still have the souls of the great Russian artists and poets.

Truth Quest

Your mission is to bring the truth to light in the darkest of times by repairing the broken printing press of the "Pravda" (Truth) newspaper. Speak to an alcoholic newsman to get started. Being able to "hunt" for a machinist (or be observant) and willing to buy a boss a drink will make your task doable.

1. Ask newsman press he will tell you that the press needs a part and only the most skilled mechanic will help you.
2. (You must wait until 9 am to do this part) - Hunt the mechanist and ask him Part. You will get told that in order for them to help the boss must be distracted.
3. In the machine shop go up and ask the supervisor drinks. He will say I shouldn't but then follow you.
4. Take the supervisor to the bar (where you found the newsman) and buy him a shot of vodka.
5. He will drink it and the another, and another, and even another then he will fall asleep at the bar.
6. Go back to the mechanist and he will give you a part to the press.
7. Go to the press machine and you will automatically fix the machine. And the newsman will yell that the press is fixed.
8. Go back to the newsman and:
You receive the "whois"
...brought the truth to light in the darkest of times!

Rasputin's Diary -- After bringing the truth to light, seek out the revolutionary communist Lenin and he may entrust you with a mission to discredit the Tsar Nicholas.
If you become a "Comrade" of Lenin but wish to remain anonymous, an agent lingering near the Winter Palace could help restore your 'Anonymity'
Poor Girl's Education -- In the Apartments, there is a girl who wants an education, but no one will pay her works any attention. Bring her diary to the writing professor and then go back and bring her to the professor. Get some xp but no whois.
